Metropolitan College

Metropolitan College (or Metro College) is not a brick and mortar college. Instead, it is a partnership between the Commonwealth of Kentucky, the city of Louisville, UPS, The University of Louisville, and Jefferson Community and Technical College. Metropolitan College was instituted in 1998 as a critical element of the incentive package that convinced UPS to remain in KY and to expand its major overnight hub, Worldport. This uniquely innovative education program offers access to post-secondary education opportunities for eligible employees in the Next Day Air (Night shift) operation at Worldport. Participating students attending at least part-time, and passing their classes with a C-grade or better, get their tuition paid to The University of Louisville or Jefferson Community and Technical College as well as fee payment assistance, academic bonuses, and other benefits.
