Meet Team UPS

Alberto L.

Local Conductor

Mexico

Alberto has been with UPS for four years. Before becoming a UPSer, he worked in the same position at a smaller company, but he had a dream of working for UPS due to its size and reputation.  His three-year-old son gets very emotional when he sees Alberto in the UPS uniform, and it motivates him to stay here.

Q&A with Alberto

What is a UPSer's routine like?

I carry the international cargo and I feel important. As an international driver I feel every day the confidence that the company has in me.  When I’m driving, I think about the other drivers and pilots, that are waiting for me to continue the delivery path. And I know that I contribute to a company that respects what I do and who I am. Here we don’t deliver packages only; we deliver dreams! Every package and person mean the same for us.

What makes you stay at UPS?

At UPS I feel that what I do matters. UPS is very focused on safety, takes great care of employees. Here I have time for me, for my children. By the way, my three-year-old son gets very emotional when he sees me in the UPS uniform, it motivates me to stay here.

What makes you proud to be a UPSer?

At UPS I feel that what I do matters. I’ve been dreaming to be a UPSer since 2018 and I’m a very proud to be part of this. I know that I can grow more here; they always offer opportunities. Every package has the same value and meaning and seeing someone satisfied is the most important thing.

How do people react when you say you work at UPS?

The majority of the time it is positive. They ask how it is. But I'm very reserved with what I do. In fact, I just say that UPS is an international freight dispatcher, with truckers and international motorists.
